We woke up last night to a deep rumbling noise and shaking house. Very odd, we thought, must be a huge truck driving by. But when all our friends claimed to have felt the same thing, we realized it was an earthquake. And not just any earthquake, it was our very own, with the epicenter about 3 miles from our house!
Of course, it was a pretty small one – just 5.1 on the Richter scale. In fact it was so insignificant that it took us nearly 24 hours to even find a news source that would confirm that it had actually happened. But we’re just happy that this city is finally getting some recognition, even if it is from the homegrown Bangkok Post.
UPDATE: Fox News has picked up the story and we’re feeling real famous now. Woohoo!
Hello! We are the Brays. And we love Muslims.
I didn’t hear a thing about it! Didn’t they know you guys were there?! Glad it wasn’t a big deal – now you can say you’ve been in one and check it off your “things to do once in my life” list. :oD
Merry Christmas!
